Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Stewardship. What is it?

Stewardship is the way we share our gifts to support the mission and ministry of the church.

Maybe you’re asking yourself: “Why should I give? And what happens when I give?”

At First Presbyterian Church, we believe everyone’s time, talent and financial resources are God-given gifts, given to each person for the building up of the Kingdom. While money is no one’s favorite subject at church, finances are necessary to keep our ministries and missions going strong.

The money collected in the offering plate, along with pledges and gifts, goes into our Operating Fund unless designated otherwise. We set our annual mission and ministry goals based on anticipated giving.

We have many ways to give...including in person, online, by mail, via IRA distributions, stock transfers, and more. If you would like to know more about how to give, contact us.

I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ. - Philemon 1:6

Our online giving service is hosted by the Presbyterian Foundation. The transaction is safe and secure, and your gift will be available to our ministry immediately, with no waiting periods. To begin using this online giving service, select “Create Profile” and follow the steps to create an account.

Online giving offers benefits both for you and for the church:

• Save a trip to the ATM, or avoid forgetting your checkbook.
• Set up recurring donations to continue giving faithfully even on weeks you are not able to attend services.
• The church benefits more quickly from a steady and reliable flow of online gifts.
• The work to process checks and cash gifts is reduced when gifts are made online instead.
• Go Green & paperless! Forget about paper checks, check stubs, and printed receipts. Tracking online is easier and better for the environment.
• Make tax season a breeze! Your account keeps an easily accessible record of all your giving for the year.
