The annual meeting of the congregation and corporation of the First Presbyterian Church of Easton will be held on February 9, 2025, following worship, at approx. 11:45am. The purpose of the annual meeting is to review the 2024 Annual Report and receive the 2025 budget. All members are strongly encouraged to attend this congregational meeting.
Brunch Bunch will be going to Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 2471 Park Ave, Easton on Sunday, February 9th following the Annual Meeting. Please email Ruthann by Friday, February 7th if you wish to attend. If you have a last minute change of plans, we’ll accommodate you. All are welcome!

Join us for our Service of Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve. We will begin our service with special music at 6:30pm, and continue into our worship service at 7:00pm. Our Handbell Choir will play, we’ll sing favorite carols together, and hear the scriptures about the birth of Jesus Christ. All are welcome!

The Easton Municipal Band will perform a FREE concert at FPCE on Saturday, December 14 at 3:00pm. Come and hear music for the holidays as well as other favorites! Following the concert, there will be a reception in the Brainerd Lounge. Invite your friends and neighbors - all are welcome!

Bacon Fest is Saturday and Sunday, November 2 and 3, in Downtown Easton! FPCE will be renting out parking spaces all day Saturday and after worship on Sunday for $20.00 (cash only). First come, first served.
The church will be participating in Boscov’s “Friends Helping Friends” fundraiser on Tuesday, October 22. For a $5.00 donation, you receive a Shopping Pass for 25% off most items. FPC keeps the $5.00. Please see Ruthann Arras or any Deacon to obtain your pass. Jonathan will also have them available in the church office. Please tell your friends - let’s go for a new record!

The Board of Deacons and Mission Team invite you to a “Non-Progressive” Dinner on Saturday, October 19. It will be held at Nancy and Mike Uduts’ house. Appetizers start at 5:00pm, followed by desserts. A sign-up sheet will be at coffee hour, or contact the church office to RSVP.

Hallelujah and Amen! On Sunday, September 22 we will celebrate and lift the missions that our congregation support locally and globally. We, the congregation, “Join Hands to Help the Hungry and Homeless, Embrace our Neighborhood and Each Other”.
Of course, like good Presbyterians there will be finger food, cake, coffee and cold drinks after church. Plan on joining us for a celebration of caring, giving and love!

For May 20, we’ll be discussing The World Played Chess by Robert Dugoni.
You are invited to a conversation on William Yoo's book What Kind of Christianity: A History of Slavery and Anti-Black Racism in the Presbyterian Church. Published by Westminster John Knox Press, the book received a very favorable review in the Journal of Presbyterian History. The discussion will held on four consecutive Wednesdays April 17 to May 8 from 10:30 AM to Noon. Emory University Professor Dr. Kwok Pui-Lan says “this timely book... is indispensable for understanding America's painful past... and imagining a different, possible future.” The author is a Professor at Columbia Theological Seminary in Georgia, and is also the author of The Presbyterian Experience in the United States: A Sourcebook. The discussions will be led by the Rev. Richard Taylor, former Chair of the Historical Council of the United Church of Christ, and the author of thirteen books on American Church history, including two that focus on the interaction between Congregationalists and Presbyterians.
The final session will cover pages 155 to the end of the book.
