Stewardship & Service

“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God,
serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”
1 Peter 4: 10 (NRSV)

Make It – Take It Kitchen – The next class is TBD

Safe Harbor Dinner Sign-Up – Check out the bulletin board for the list and instructions for these dinners.

Ark Luncheon – The meal is served at Trinity Episcopal Church, 234 Spring Garden Street around noon. If you would like to be part of this opportunity to serve some of our neighbors, please contact the church office. ARK is able to provide lunches year-round because of the generosity of area churches, schools, and other local groups.

Disaster Assistance – Looking for a way to support those affected by natural disasters?  Look no further than Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). “PDA will immediately begin working alongside established partners to respond to this latest crisis. Immediate response will help provide essential food, water, and supplies for impacted communities and villages. As long-term recovery needs are determined, PDA will continue to support those in impacted areas to ensure a comprehensive recovery.”

Paying Our Fair Share – All members of the church are encouraged to find the envelope marked per capita at the front of your box of offering envelopes (or mark “per capita” on the memo line of your check) and use it to pay the per capita assessment that our denomination uses to fund the operations of the presbyteries, synods, and General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This year’s percapita amount is $28.76 per confirmed member of the congregation.

Pasta for ProJeCt of Easton – Thanks to all who remain faithful in your giving to the ProJeCt Food Pantry on the first Sunday of each month. Please help us reach our goal of at least 50 items per month.

Scrip Gift Card Program – The “Scrip” gift card program allows you to order gift cards for many merchants in the area, and the church will receive a contribution for every card sold.

Cash for Causes – We continue to participate in the Giant Food Stores “Cash for Causes” gift card program. Cards are available in $25, $50 and $100 denominations. You can buy them on Sunday during Coffee Hour in Legacy Hall or during the week from Nancy Penman in the church office. Pay with cash or by check made out to the church with “Giant gift card” in the memo line. The church earns 5%. Let’s all participate!

Dry Cleanliness Is Next to Godliness – Al’s Dry Cleaners, located at 1134 Northampton Street, will donate to the church 10 percent of what you spend on dry cleaning – all you have to do is mention “First Presbyterian Church of Easton” the first time you drop off your cleaning. Once your preference for donating to First Presbyterian Church is recorded in their system, Al’s Cleaners will automatically credit the church’s account each time you bring in dry cleaning.
